In the First World War, there is the story of a soldier singing O holy Night from one of the trenches on Christmas night. It inspired soldiers from both sides to join each other on the battle field to share gifts and celebrate Christmas. Sadly the following day they returned to battle. The Gift of Christmas invites us all to honour every child as we honour the Baby born in Bethlehem, then the world would enjoy peace.
